My inspiration came from a walk I once took in a park in Alishan 阿里山 in 2015.
There I noticed that every tree wore a metal label with a QR code. At that time, I didn’t scan the code, but I fantasized that every tree had its own website where they showcased the highlights of their lives.
Nowadays, trees have become rare in big cities. They have to make room for more buildings. Sometimes, inhabitants of a neighbourhood fight to save trees, and some of these city trees are fortunate to receive conservation status.
At that point, they get listed in computers. They are watched and numbered. This means that nowadays, some trees indeed have a ‘site’ in the digital world, with their own little data.
