Acrylic on canvas
40 x 50 cm
This painting is inspired by a lingering idea that my husband realized during the Covid era.
After a fire inspection in our building, some of our fire extinguishers had expired. We found out that these metal bottles would not be reused and would end up in landfills. Unfortunately, making new fire extinguishers seems more economical than emptying the old ones and testing them for a new life.
Frank turned them into lampshades and called them ‘Red lights’.
