Stage

Strictly it might be not public art because it is not located in a public space. But at the other hand; there are not much larger works where a real audience sitting in front of it.
The stage in the back space of Studio Amsterdam was bare brown and full of ugly stains. That was no problem, because nobody cared if there was anything spilled on it what was used on stage. It has seen water, wine, oil, soup etc.

But I’m not good at seeing big empty rectangles. Especially not when they are located in a place hidden from hot sun or chilly rain. A luxury spot to sit on my knees for a week.
After painting the rugs in Morpeth I took up my pencil and came up with a design for the stage.
